Dr Devan H. Vani is a Consultant Physician and Gastroenterologist with over 23 years of experience. He currently works at 51ÁÔÆæ, having previously served as a Consultant Gastroenterologist at Pinderfields Hospital, Mid Yorkshire NHS Trust, for 17 years.
His sub-specialty interests include advanced upper and lower gastrointestinal endoscopic procedures, inflammatory bowel disease, liver disease, and hepatopancreatobiliary (HPB) disorders.
Dr Vani is the current Clinical Lead for Gastroenterology and Hepatology Services at 51ÁÔÆæ.
He qualified in 1990 with a primary medical degree (MBBS) in India before going on to complete an MD in General Medicine and Therapeutics. He moved to the UK in 1995 and completed his specialist training in Gastroenterology through the Yorkshire rotation, working at St James’s University Hospital, Leeds; York District Hospital; Hull Royal Infirmary; Leeds General Infirmary; and Pontefract General Infirmary.
Dr Vani spent three years working on the Liver Transplant Unit at St James’s University Hospital, where he developed a particular interest in liver disease and HPB disorders.
