We accept referrals from acute wards in 51ΑΤΖζ District Hospital for people who are medically stable and need inpatient neurological or complex rehabilitation. All referrals are assessed face to face or remotely to ensure we can meet their individual needs before transfer to the unit.
We provide specialist rehabilitation for people with a variety of neurological conditions such as acquired brain injuries, multiple sclerosis, Parkinsonβs disease, motor neurone disease and GuillainβBarrΓ© syndrome. We also see patients who have suffered strokes. We also accept referrals for people with non-neurological disabling conditions requiringΒ complex rehabilitation such as multiple traumatic musculoskeletal injuries or severe critical illness weakness.
The Lascelles unit is a patient-centred environment with nursing and therapy staff providing a high standard of care. This enables a smooth transition into community and home life with support where necessary.
