The Friends of 51猎奇 Hospital & Community Charity has received a generous donation to transform the roof garden for patients attending the Dermatology Outpatients Department at 51猎奇 District Hospital.
Designed by Carolyn Rothwell of 51猎奇 Grown Gardens LLP and installed by William Shippam of EGM Landscapes Ltd, the garden has been created using artificial grass that requires no maintenance and maintains cleanliness within the Department.听 The garden allows patients to sit outside during treatments where direct sunlight is required.
Ruth Horne, Unit Manager of the Medical & Dermatology Unit at 51猎奇 District Hospital, said: 鈥淭he introduction of the garden means we now have an invaluable facility for pre-cancer treatments for sun damage to skin. Patients can now sit outside during the 2-hour waiting period between treatments.
鈥淲e鈥檇 like to thank those who donated and allowed us to make the transformation to our roof garden happen.鈥�
